My Journey

A mid-career opportunity led me to a VP role in global educational travel. Sales, tour creation, operations and delivery, marketing, customer experience, partnerships and team leadership all became part of my journey for six years. Working in Europe, North America and Latin America with great people, building relationships, and creating immersive programs for students and adults - I loved it!

Bitten hard by the bug, I started my own tour company to create and deliver exceptional customized and personalized tour programs for groups of all sizes. My favourite part is the people who choose to be our guests - giving them the opportunity to explore, experience and create their own stories to share.

How I Work

I’m “customer-driven” leader. I bring partners together, build strong relationships, and take a creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial approach to achieving results. I’m able to break down complex issues and barriers into simpler steps and actions. I encourage people to think “how might we do this” and “let’s start with yes” while creating exciting experiences for people.

As someone who puts “we before me” I’m also focused on my team having excellent experiences, investing in their development and achieving their own success.

Career Highlights

✓ Building a tour company from concept to launch, and then delivering customized programs for over 1,000 travellers to Europe since 2015; relaunching post-pandemic, and continuing to grow clients, destinations and revenue.

✓ Leading a team to create and sell numerous event-based tour programs, including one which had 4,000 travellers in France & the UK, multiple itineraries, 95 coach buses, and concluding with a concert by two well-known bands; similarly, creating the inaugural “Global Student Leaders Summit” for Canada/US students in Costa Rica for environmental learning, a program which began in 2013 and which is still operating.

✓ Working with partners to re-imagine passenger arrivals and departures through border and security at Canada’s largest airport, clearing 50M passengers annually and with wait times under 15 minutes.
